As one seasonal example, in the Spring we recommend treating your yard for ticks, which can spread Lyme’s Disease. At this time of year, ticks are in the nymph stage and are the size of poppy seeds, which is their small, immature form. Fields and forests are ideal for ticks and certain ant species, while urban settings with, yes, waste and shelter draw rodents and cockroaches. And suburban settings often provide a mix of lush yards, steadily-available food in homes, and yard items like rotting logs or bird baths where pests can lay eggs and thrive.
