And we didn’t put much thought into it in our childhood, but now this is a thought that crosses our minds often. Do we have bed bugs? Can bed bugs exist on surfaces other than our mattresses? How can I get rid of bed bugs if I do have them?

They’ll make themselves at home on any surface that resembles a mattress, such as your couch, recliners, chair cushions, carpets, and any other upholstered surface in your home.
